I dunno, I'm not that impressed with the fantasy one at the moment. It just seems to be too cartoony and not serious enough for my tastes. The whole point of warhammer is that it isn't cartoony.....

thats what i hate so much about WoW (i despise this horrible missmatched, multicoloured, twat infested game, and feel that most people that play it deserve a good slap, but thats my oppinion) It is a big step up from WoW, well at least imo it looks a lot better, it's not the best looking MMO thats around but i think it looks really fun and if you've been following the podcasts/newscasts it looks like it has a great deal of potential and looks like its gonna be good fun.

Unfortunately, becoming twat infested is a fate that most MMO games will suffer, just due to the nature of the general public. However, that could be slightly alleviated if they aimed at a higher age group than say, WOW. Though I doubt they will as it would cut out a large slice of the market.
I will be interested to see how they could implement the different races.
Ork/Imperium/Chaos/Eldar/Tau - obvious and easy, aside form command structure issues.
Dark Eldar - Operate out of the webway? Could be interesting to work in... Also the slave taking?
Necrons - Actually the phase out thing could be very cool when you die, though there are obviously far higher fluff issues here, they dotn tend to operate alone.
Tyranids - Same as the necron independent operation issues but far more so.
Also, the potential scale of things is huge. Space for example, could just be used as a method of transport, but the ships involved are so big they could themselves be used as arenas for something. I suppose the joy of a MMO game is that these areas can be added slowly over time. I can already see an expansion pack letting you travel through the EoT similar to the WoW expansion allowing travel through the dark portal.

I think if they did every single race it would completly ruin it. Then again if they included 2-4 races there would be alot of upset fans. Either way its a lose lose situation. Personally, i'd prefer the quality of the game to be good than have every nook and crany in the 40k universe included.

I agree that its quality over quantity totally, get a small but workable area running well, then slowly expand it with online updates. I believe thats how WoW worked initially as well, slowly opening new higher level areas, or different lower level ones.
