If you can't make it, show notes will be up afterward. However, this is a chance to talk hands on to the developers.

I want to welcome you all back, and I'm sure you're all hungry for juicy details. Don't worry it's coming in mere moments.
First though, I'd like to ask that everyone hold questions to the end. Keep all arms and legs, pets and any carryon luggage inside the ride at all times.
First off, the Campaign. When, where, what, who why, and how.
When, is 4 years after the first war for Aftermath (the planet).
Where, is the Aftermath System.
Who, is you. Obviously.
What is going to be saved for a bit later.
Why is because it was about time for one to happen again.
How, is the same method's we've been using in the past. You'll be able to use any 40k based game. This includes Dawn of War. However, your Dawn of War matches will have to be played against another registered person on the board. Not a random match, and not the computer AI.
Any Warhammer 40k universe game.
Now, you'll be wanting story details. So here goes. First off, does anyone remember the story from the original campaign at Aftermath?
It involved a Certain Commander Braxton, an Arch-Heretic Varlak, and an Inquisitor Fortez. In the end, the Chaos Gate that opened on Aftermath was merely buried under rock, and was left to fester. This is the continuation.
Inquisitor Fortez had left Braxton to clean up Aftermath on his own. While the Inquisitor was left to hunt the fleeing Varlak, and to perform Exterminatus on outer planets. Feeling betrayed by the Imperium, Braxton began to build resentment. And subsequently, he has turned traitor.
Working in secret, with a few of his most loyal men, he excavated the remains of the gate, and begun a strange and bizarre ritual to restore it using the ancient crystals, the very same that are studied and used by the Adeptus Mechanius for power, that are scattered over the Aftermath system to revive the gate. The gate was exposed finally, as Braxton led an uprising against his former allies.
That covers the Chaos / Imperium side of things. But what about everyone else?
With a dangerous amount of these Crystals coming into Chaos hands, the Eldar have vowed to stop the Great Enemy from using them to their advantage. With such a number of crystals, the number of Psycho-Kenesis weapons on the planet has been increasing. Such weapons would be devastating to the consciousness of the Eldar.
These crystals have begun to pulse in the Aftermath system, causing irregularities, and disturbances. They have even begun to act as a Psychic Beacon for the Tyranid Hive fleets; making Aftermath a potent target.
Razgob has returned as well inciting a Waaggh, vowing to take back the planet Icthan and gain revenge for the Exterminatus that was triggered by Inquisitor Fortez by then marching on Aftermath.
Being close to Aftermath, the Tau have sent patrols, which were brought down in the crossfire at Icthan. The survivors now face an onrushing horde of Orks and other foes.
Dark Eldar are seeking out these weapons too. But not only to stop their use like their Kin, but to put them to use as instruments of torture.
Now. That takes care of a basic synopsis. We'll talk about where you will be fighting next.
As previously discussed, this will be the Aftermath system. This is a larger branching from before, when it was merely Aftermath the planet. The moon was a warzone, but now, there are multiple points on the moon. As well, there also the planet Icthan.
Plus a host of other things happening inside the system itself. In all, there will be 25 war zones at the beginning of the campaign. Including 2 special events.
Every week, or every other week, there will be at least 1 event happening on the map. Events are your chance to influence the campaign story. Nothing in this campaign is set in stone. If you are familiar with the concept of Event Cards from the Eye of Terror, our events are similar, where the side that wins gains a bonus. You can use the events to gain the upper hand in some cases.
Winning elsewhere will still be important. But Events have a time limit, and will tend to be more race specific. One of our starting events involves a Crashed Tau Custodian Theres a reason for that, but I'll save it for the end. Everyone will be able to participate in events. With exceptions for certain areas. For example, the Webway.
As for tactics, many warzones will have direct impact on other nearby warzones. Other warzones, will not be able to be attacked by certain sides, until other warzones nearby have been lowered. For example, the Hive spire on Aftermath is protected until the city around it falls. Your battles will be more effective when they are used in unison.
Dueling will remain the same for now. A revision may be made in the future. For now, we want quick simple battles.
The battle limit per person, per day will be 5 battles.
Now, you're probably wondering why you should play, I bet?
Well, here’s the big surprise. The results of this campaign... ...are going to be sent, in full detail... ...directly to GW.
The site will be operational within a week.
Good luck to all in the campaign. We will be starting up sometime after the site goes fully online.
Please post all questions here.
