The following are to be considered the basic structure of policy for the Aftermath community. This includes the messageboard, all related web-pages, SayBox, AIM chatrooms relating to the site, and the IRC rooms run by the Aftermath staff for the site. Infractions against this policy will result appropriate penalty in the form of anything from disabling your account, to deleting, also accounting for bannings by IP, and other method, and removal of any privileges. There are no set outcomes for any infraction, as everything is carried out on a case by case basis.
Hereafter, use of the first and second person refers to the site staff and the third person to all non-staff.
The use of this site is carried out at your own risk, the site is moderated as to remove any potentially harmful material and to protect users. This is such that we cannot be held responsibility for any damage incurred while using this site in the unlikely event that it occurs. This includes damage to files, any specific damage, software and hardware problems.
1)
We, the staff, reserve the right to modify, remove or relocate any and all posts by any member without prior consent if such posts contain any offensive, graphic or illegal material.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Racial slurs, cursives, harassment, sexual slurs, threats, nudity and/or pornographic material and advice on illegal matters, or references to such organisations.
2)
The posting of non-sensical, inconsistent and pointless messages is forbidden. Such posts are removed. The Kindergarden board is more lenient for this, but it is not without some limits.
3)
The advertising of other sites within your posts is discouraged. You are allowed to link to such in signitures, but should these contain any of the above material mentioned in article 1, such links will be removed. Any images used for advertising are to be of a respectable size, as not to impair the use of the boards for another user. This is to be considered for an average user, with a resolution of less than one thousand pixels across and connection speed of 56K.
4)
We, the staff, cannot be responsible for every action of a member, if such a member commits any action which is offensive, or against any international law, it will be dealt with. However, it must be realised that the opinions of any member are not that of the site and/or staff, which are considered to be impartial on all matters. We cannot control any member outsides the confines of the Aftermath community, and such, we cannot be subject to any recourse for any actions commited against you due to abuse of any information you give about yourself, legal or otherwise.
5)
Any malicious activity against users cannot be considered the responsibility of the staff, who will attempt to control and remove such things. Any such acts will be given appropriate penalty, up to and including legal action if necessary.
This includes, but is not limited to: hacking, cracking, identity fraud, identity theft, theft of personal information, blackmail, or bribery.
