I know someone mentioned these in a thread somewhere before (I'd guess it was No'Ki) but in all honesty i can't be arsed to go looking through all the threads to find the post. I also forget what they are calling the paints, if you haven't noticed i tend to forget hings and have a very short attention span.
I've just paid my deposit to get a set of these from my local GW when they are released on the 21st of April, they are only ordering in 80 paint sets and only 20 are being kept aside for deposits and they are pretty sure they will be snapped up and quite rightly so. Needless to say i was impressed with the models Andy (GW Glasgow manager) had tried out the set of paints that the store had recieved. No longer will you need to do 5 or 6 coats of yellow, flesh, white etc to get that finished look you are after, these do it in one, well maybe not finished but it makes things a hell of a lot easier.
TBH your probably better off just buying the light colours as very few if any dark colour citadel paints have this problem, although i doubt single tubs will be released at least for a couple of months after their starter set is out.

To be honest I miss the spray cans of undercoat especially the bleached bone and DA Green, I'm quite a lazy painter and I think the lack of cans has resulted in the slow down of my painting, sure a single coat of these fandangled paints is fine on single models, but undercoating tanks? They have become a bit of a chore for me anyway at least. Unless you guys know somewhere in the UK that sells spray cans in a similar range of colours? Ive tried plasti-kote but I'm not over impressed.

Ah yeah i miss the coloured undercoat sprays as well, what i usually do now is spray my models black then use a tank bruch (my old one which is knackered) to quickly drybrush over the model, then i go back and paint weapons, armour rims, tracks, etc black then start with the details. I've found this to be quite a simple, and relatively quick way to painting minitures, though i do take a fair bit of time on the details.

Ahh, the Foundation Range. Whilst I've heard some people complaining that it will lower the quality of painting, personally I think thats a big load of grox poop. I would personally much rather face an army with some colour on it, even if its just the Foundation rather than something thats showing all its plastic. I reckon these paints will help those who don't have the time to sit and try and get a perfect white or yellow, or other tricky paints. Heck, if I heard enough good things it might even make me paint up that White Scars force I've always wanted to do. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got Wyche flesh to paint.

I've tried them and reserved my box. I don't think they're a cop out, and I fail to see why complaints (on other boards mostly) are abundant.
It's not about laziness either, actually with the ease of use and quality of coverage the paints offer I'm likely to paint more models more often and therefore actaully finishing off units etc.
Rejoice!

Had the privalidge (sp?) to try them in the Local GW. I don't think they're fantastic. Yeah, maybe if you're a beginner painter. Personally, I reackon its just another way for good ol' GW to make money. But yeah, they're being released Early April and Individual Pots coming out a month later. I'll probally be buying one or two pots. But I have better things to spend £30 on.
