so you want to add more stats and complexity to an already confusing system? in the far distant past when i originally came here i was lured by the idea of dueling. Sure the rules were vastly unbalanced and open to abuse (nekkid training duels??) but they were very quick and fun, and gave a real sense of accomplishment when you got lucky and killed nef.
That's what made dueling so popular: less choice, more variety!
I'm not suggesting a return to first edition, as I've said those were very flawed, just a change in direction that i believe will make dueling more enjoyable!
